You could enjoy a wine tasting trip with many choices on where to go:

Napa - the premier wine region in CA where the best Cabernet Sauvignon is produced. Tasting fees range from $5-$25 per person.

Livermore (east on 580) - more than 25 wineries. great wines...many have free tasting and those that charge typically charge $3-10.

Santa Cruz - south on 1 - wineries are located in the mountains as well as in the city of Santa Cruz with a few scattered in nearby towns. Scenic coastal area with wine tasting ranging from $3-10.
