My laptop charging port, as far as i can tell, has undergone metal fatigue over the course of my ownership. I do plug it up sometimes while using it on my lap, but usually it's on a desk while plugged up. The screen has a brightness adjustment. When plugged in the screen is brighter, when unplugged it is darker again. So I go through these bouts of a flickering screen because of the problems with the charging port. Sometimes it goes for a long time and my battery dies without my knowing. It's annoying. My best buy warranty doesn't run out for 8 months (Performance Service Plan). It covers "dust, heat, humidity, daily use, failures due to normal wear and tear, power surges, no-lemon guarantee" and covers "Full parts and labor". I've heard horror stories and would like to know if anyone has had problems with this companies warranties? I'm going to take it to Best Buy over the summer just in case there is a delay, so it woun't interfere with school.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

The screen going a little darker when the power supply is unplugged is normal for a laptop,it help prolong the batterie while unplugged from the wall..what you really should do is bring it back if the warranty is still active .. Make sure to be firm because these people like to be in the driving seat..pull there handbrake and tell them to repair or replace.. fair wear and tear is exactly what it says there for you should be ok.. make sure to insist on your terms and not theres..hope this helps...Steve

Why no longer exchange the puzzlingpersistent to the different pc in the event that they're an analogous. Why difficulty fixing? ~ Make/variety may be efficient. If it has a PCMCIA slot you need to use that for an Ethernet port.

I've had good experience with Best Buy and their PSP warranty. You're better off letting them service your computer. What's the worst it can happen? Your computer turns out to be a lemon and they'll give you a new one. :)
