time love and tenderness..lol
Nothing dear. It's all a gimick. They will fade paler or almost white, but they'll stay shiny looking and noticable. I have them from my first pregnancy(as well as from teenaged years of puberty when i went from nothing to a C cup on my breasts, as well as hips and butt..developing fast). From pregnancy i have them on my belly and sides of my waist...as well as zebra striped thighs of stretch marks from gaining too much unnecessary weight..too fast.
Nothing will work. Sorry to tell you, but you will learn to ignore them and realise that most women have them, and a lot of men too. It's just really hard to get over..i know, i still go thru the emotions..lol
Good luck, and just try to forget about them.

Sadly enough, there is not cure for stretch marks. Interesting fact though is that it's your genes that determine how stretchy your skin is naturally until it's too much and you get the marks. The only thing you can do is to have them removed by plastic surgery like a tummy tuck or body lift. I hear that line all the time on the Health Channel. The cocoa butter and creams help keep your skin moist and stretch a bit, but even the most expensive brand can't prevent or remove them totally.
I would suggest trying sunless tanners first before looking at anything more expensive like a micro abrasions, chemical peels or plastic surgery.

There is a new oil out called Bio Oil. It is £8.95 from Boots for a small bottle but it is fantastic stuff. You only need a small amount rubbed in every morning and night and it begins to fade stretch marks and other skin blemishes. Try it and see what you think.

Oh good luck I've tried it all and I have only got them to fade some and that took a few years. but the butter and vitamin E are suppost to be the best. That's what I've been using through my pregnancy now and thank God I havn't got more. Good Luck!

Go To www.mederma.com
An ad for Mederma is in March '07 issue
of Better Homes and Gardens, page 255.
It says:
No matter how you got your scar or how long you've had it, Mederma is formulated to make scars appear softer and smoother. It's the #1
doctor- and pharmacist-recommended product
for scars. Mederma helps make scars less
noticeable, so people see you, not your scars.
I believe this new product will be beneficial to
men and women that do not find laser surgery
an option. Stretch marks turn silver in time,
but less visibility is what we want to obtain.

Me too....if you find the magic answer, please let me know. I've tried Motherhood's stretch mark cream (no help), cocoa butter (no help), Vitamin E (no help) and Palmer's stretch mark lotion (also no help). I've heard Mederma might help, but I would need a gallon of it and it's kind of expensive. I've also heard that plastic surgery doesn't even work if the stretch marks extend higher than your belly button.
I'm trying to view them as reminders of my wonderful children, but mostly they just annoy me. Good luck!

My sister had really bad stretch marks on the backs of her legs and she tried a cream called Stretch Away and she said that worked for her. I'm about to try it myself since I have them on my tummy and legs since having my baby as well.
