how often do u have to go the doctor when your pregnant?

Normally it would be every 4 weeks until you hit 28 weeks or so.. then every 2 weeks till you are 36 weeks or so.. then every week till delivery.

in my case, i have been going every 2 weeks since i was 4 weeks pregnant because i am a high risk pregnancy. your OB will have to determine what your scheduling of appointments would be

Within 3 weeks after becoming pregnant- the sooner the better- you need folic acid and this is crucial for critical development of your baby - then it's once a month for the first 2 trimester or up to 6 months then every 3 weeks and then 2 weeks, then weekly---if you have any complications- excess swelling, high blood pressure, excess weight gain, your doctor will want to see you more often- and that's a good thing, better be seen than not, it will keep your mind at ease that everything is going okay.

In the beginning I felt like I wasn't going enough, cause there were so many questions I had in between visits. But by the end you will feel like you live at the dr.'s office. The last month is when you begin to feel like you live at the doctors office… you go every week… at least! I think it is up to the doctor you are seeing. Mine sees me once every four weeks untill last 3 months, then every other week. Can't remember for the last month, but I think it is every week at that point.
