Lets say the man I married, isn't thrilled being married. He loves me, but maybe wanted something different in his perfect vision. Let's say that we are in the middle of his legalization in the US (although this is a low priority for him). This means he has a lot to lose if we split...but that doesn't keep him particularly happy all the time. He isn't seeing anyone, he won't cheat (I am sure on that-his personality basically)...but he almost seems like he would rather have a different life. What would you do?

Hang in there for at least six months, and then re-appraise the situation. Not only will you have settled the legal hash, but you will have a better idea of how suited to each other you really are.

You should ask him about this. And see if maybe you can both change together to have the life you want. But never compromise your happiness just to make him happy. If he's still unhappy. Leave him before he brings you down.

He is not in love with you. There is a road he must take that does not involve you. It is a road that tasks him to re-define his identity and focus on what he truly wants for his life. Let him go an take that journey and let him go with God.

You both need to seek counseling. You might be able to get back on the same plane here.

Do you realize that you raised each question and then covered for him? Nothing will change and you will have your reason to explain it. You are playing both wife and mother to him.

Confront him and ask him if he is happy in your marriage. If he is not then there is no reason to stay with someone who doesn't want to be with you. It is not fair to either one of you.
