There are plenty of "rich" nations in the world with abundant social programs wonderful cultural exhibits and so forth that do not have the enemy list that the US has .
The US is not the only civilzation on the globe - many other nations in fact beat the US for the top spot of highest standard of living ...............
Why is it then that the US who has never won the highest standard of living that has little to no social programs and a massive division between poor and rich could accumulate as much hatred as they have ?

This is a great question.
I will speculate that it's because America tries to be the World Police... the beat stick that the U.N. uses to whip other rogue countries back into shape. The problem is that the U.N. is not asking for this. The U.N. doesn't want the U.S. to be its muscle, and yet the U.S. keeps butting into other peoples' business anyway.
We support Israel as a matter of foreign policy, which serves to enrage most of the Arab nations of the Middle East. We support Taiwan sort of off the record, which antagonizes China, who claims sovereignty over Taiwan.
Another issue is that as Americans we tend to view our government as infallible (it isn't), our media as always honest (it isn't), and our military as always good (it isn't). It's safe to say that the examples of Abu Ghraib and the prison at Guantanamo are NOT representational of all American military personnel... but how much of that is really going on in the world and being covered up?
I don't see any easy solutions to this problem, and I think it will take time and NEW LEADERSHIP to win back the trust the U.S. deserves in the global community. It will also require us to back off from some countries and just accept the fact that the U.N. is the real agency responsible for doling out punishments and sanctions. Let the rest of the world do its job and let us worry about our own affairs for a while, and maybe things will start to turn around.

Simple...those other countries do not meddle in other countries' affairs like we do. Those other countries respect international law. Oh, and they do a lot less bombing and warmaking than we do. What country has been in more wars, or dropped more bombs since WWII than us? We should be the leader of the free, peace-loving, progress-seeking, problem-solving world, but we're not. Instead we're the biggest bully, the biggest polluter, the biggest waster of resources, etc, etc. That's why other countries despise us.

ill tell you why cuz our country thinks that we can just go in wherever we feel like it and help people that dont even wanna be helped. We take things that arent ares and people know that and are afraid cuz we do have power but we are very controlling cuz we are a country with money and freedom and apparently are using that
