It was for my wife. She wasn't big on sex before she got preg the last time but was a complete freak while she was. I mean before it was like a 3 time a month ordeal to get it and during she could not get enough. I mean she even want to look at porn which is not like her at all. I could go into further detail but you get the picture. Ahh I miss those days! lol

I don't know if it's normal or not, but if you were a sex addict prior to getting pregnant I think that you should definitely try to work on yourself. An addict is someone who needs something outside of themselves in order to feel happy or to cope with life. You probably have some psychological wounds that haven't healed, or you don't know how to deal with your feelings and emotions.
I think that you should probably try to work on healing before you have your baby, because I'm sure it's going to be stressful having to take care of a new child and it might be overwhelming, in which case you might turn to sex, or another coping mechanism, in order to deal. So if I were you, I'd try to go through some counseling, because the fact that you describe yourself as an addict, shows that you feel like you're not able to control yourself completely. Or I'd just go to a bookstore either physically or online, and look under self help books, or spirtual ones so that you can deal with yourself.
This will help you as well as your child, now and in the future. Remember that feelings aren't going to kill you, even the ones that are painful and hurt like they will. When you allow yourself to feel the sadness and anger and whatever else you've been holding in, it's going to feel really scary and painful, but eventually day by day, it will lessen. Until one day you realize that you don't feel pain or fear anymore and that you're healed and whole once again.

You can not compare this with any body or anything. There is only your normal and that could be anything. Your drive can change daily, trimesterly, every pregnancy is different. Don't let that change take away the joy of the miracle growing inside. Besides how much time do you seriously think your going to have to devote to that with a newborn?

Darlin' while you're pregnant, especially the first trimester, your hormones are raging in you changing ever so constantly that it drives your desire for sex to an insatiable limit. My poor husband, when i was pregnant with my 2nd child moaned everytime he walked through the door " ugh not AGAIN" was his comment. Looking back i feel kind of bad for him lol. Believe me...get as much as you can now cuz by the time the baby gets here, all you're going to want for a while is sleep. lol

Your hormones are out of control, it is totally normal to have an increase in sex drive....who knows, maybe next week you won't want it at all.

Yup! I hope you mean sex with your mate and not an actual real sex addict. I find you do want it more when you are pregnant.

Nothing's wrong with you. I've read that what you're experiencing is more common than not. Hopefully, you have an understanding and enthusiastic spouse who will just let nature take its course.
