I went to the library today and picked it up and when the librarian was scanning it through she was like "Oh, this is such a cute movie. It was so good that my daughter made me buy it." Is that true? Is it really good?

It is everything a good family film should be. It entertains the young and old, alike on so many levels.

When I first saw it, I thought I was going to be in for a boring fairytale/swordfight movie. Was I surprised. It was smart and funny. And it had a very young Robin Wright....

I not only bought this on VHS, Laserdisc and DVD, I bought extras for friends and family.

It is such a good movie! One of my faves! I've seen it so many times I know it by heart, every line. I hope you enjoy it. Miracle Max and Valerie are my favorite characters, "Bye Bye boys. Have fun storming the castle!" That will make more sense after you've seen the movie :-)

Excellent family movie, but I'll still watch it by myself sometimes when no one else wants to see it. If you like it, you may also want to see "Ever After", a Cinderella type fairy tale with Drew Barrymore and Angelica Huston.

Loved that movie when I first saw it as a young girl...it's lost a bit of it's magic now that I am older, but it is still cute and kind of funny!
