Due to some disappointing buyrates, and in particular the comparisons with UFC, Vince McMahon has decided to change the approach the company has for its pay-per-view shows.

The "B" shows, wile they will be listed as brand-specific shows, will start featuring talent from all three brands. Stephanie McMahon sent out a memo stating that Vince wants more of an emphasis on interbrand matches on PPV shows, thus opening up more potential matches.

Starting with Backlash, the show is scheduled to feature talent from all three brands. Batista, Bobby Lashley, RVD and Undertaker are scheduled to appear on the show. Also, the poster for the 7/22 Great American Bash PPV features John Cena, as well as Batista and King Booker.

"Hi" must be a little slow, given that the question discussed the backstage creative process for the show. This is the same type of process for all shows o TV. Silly little guy. Anyway, this just negates the brand extension, which I've long thought was a mistake in the first place. The absence of top stars like Austin and Rock make it extremely hard to put on consistently good shows. The roster is spread too thin, forcing young guys into TV spots they are not ready for. The PPVs should be better as a result of this decision.

Well it'll be good for the Fans and the guys in the top spots (Cena, Batista and Lashley) cause they will be getting more money to be on more shows. But it' ll be harder for the mid-carders to get on a pay-per-view which is a little sad because they don't nearly make the money the guys at the top do.

I can see the reason for doing this though. Raw usually has solid PPVs. SD! PPVs have been rather lacklust for a long time now. you're lucky to get one great macth and a couple of decent ones. ECW I don't think has the talent to have it's own PPV right now.

Good because that means people might actually buy the PPV's. DUMB because it just rids the concept of brand extension completely.
