as long as you're happy, home is where the heart is. there is nothing to be ashamed of as long as you have a roof over your head to protect your family, you are doing your part as a parent.

I loved being a mom, even though we spent a number of years poor. It was my opinion that living with my children made any place MORE of a home, not less. I have nicer things now, but I had great kids, and I miss them. There is one thing I would change if I could go back to those days - I did give in to being embarrassed about my home, at times. I wish I had learned earlier what I've heard men say all along - that my home is my castle. You wouldn't be ashamed of a castle, now would you?

My mom single handedly raise both my brother and I. For years we lived in a 1/2 duplex and YES it was home for us. Home is what you make of it, whether you live in a trailor or a mansion. She busted her butt to keep us fed and taken care of. She decorated during the holidays and even had to sleep on the couch just so my brother and I would have our own rooms. It taught me a HUGE amount about love, and being proud of what you have-no matter what it is. Be proud, and don't ever be ashamed. If your doing your best THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS. Good luck to you!

If your just starting out in the real world or live in a big city no it's nothing to be a shame of because there are some out there who still live off their mom and dad.
As long as your happy and show your kids that you love them I wouldn't see anything wrong with it

Love and happiness makes a home, the place you want to go to when you've been out all day,the size of it doesn't matter.

That's nothing to be ashamed of at all and if people do say you should feel ashamed, IGNORE them.

Only if you're not responsible and don't care how you live. Doing the best you can isn't shameful.
