Funny you ask this question. A few weeks ago, the Valedictorian of my class called me, and I thought he was calling just to chat, due to some recent health issues after talking with him at my High School reunion. He started in about this "investment" where you pay a premium and you receive discounts at stores where you shop. This sounded sketchy, and then he had another person call me via a 3-way phone call, and it was obvious he was reading from a script on paper. I asked them how much this would cost to get involved (even though I was not interested), and neither one would give me a concrete answer. They kept insisting that the fella who called me (the Valedictorian) travel to my home and show me a DVD explaining everything. I live 12 hours away from him, so I asked if he could mail it to me instead, but he kept insisting he come out here in person. While I wouldn't mind seeing this fella, as I admired him when I was in school, I had to tell him to forget about it. There is more to this than what I just relayed, and it was obvious it was a pyramid scheme, because they kept telling me that I would have to get other people involved before I could see a return on the money I put in. Even the smartest people can get involved and pull stunts, and I am still surprised this fella got suckered into this scam.

Got one on a chat room just this last week. I was just chatting with different people all over the world and got to talking with this one person who seemed really funny and interesting. After getting to know each other a bit, and knowing the state I lived in I was asked if I would open a bank account for them????? You live in Australia and want me to open a bank account in the USA so you can get paid for work done here?? Then I was to collect the money and send it via mail service to this person. Best of all, for the next few days I got constant emails saying I love you, how are you babe, and you just rock my world, and by the way have you opened the account yet. LOOSER, AND A SCAM!!

The Nigerian bank fraud is current. It's just moved to email. You know, the one where a Nigerian prince needs help getting his money out of the country, and if you'll send him $2000, he'll send you a check for $30 million or something. It varies where the prince is from, and sometimes it's a princess wanting to get her daddy's money out...I've had about eight of the emails in the month of February.
The best advice I know is, if it seems too good to be true, it is. You never BUT NEVER get something for nothing.

A man enters a gas station claiming to have been in an accident. Claims he knows the owner of the gas station and asks to use the phone. He speaks with "the owner," who allows him to take the money from the register to get the medical attention his family needs. It's lame, yes, but my best friend fell for it. He can be kinda dumb sometimes.

I know of a scam; satan getting us to believe we are so smart and yet we don't have even a drop of wisdom because we don't have any of God's Words...
We cannot serve money and God...for we will love one more than the other...
Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness then all things He will give unto you....
God loves you very much;
Heavenly Father, you are Holy Father God and we praise you and give you all glory. Father, you know everything in your precious child's heart, by your power and your Holy Spirit Father convict your child's heart in Jesus precious name; Amen.
Now repeat these words and mean them in your heart: I am a sinner in need of a savior; Jesus I believe you died on the cross for my sins and the Father rose you again three days later, come into my heart, be the Lord of my life and my best friend and by your power and your Holy Spirit guide me all the days of my life; in Jesus Christ's precious name; Amen.
