Ok, so my friend and i are both freshmen in HS, and yesterday, she told me that she thought she was pregnant. I had been noticing some of the signs, but I thought it was just a mood issue. She told me she won't go to her parents until after she knows for sure, and that she is scared to buy a pregnancy test. I offered to buy it for her, but she told me she couldn't let me do it. So as a guy, what can I actually do to help her?

Well frist out i think that you are a great friend trying to help her out . Well i think that you sure go and buy her a pregnancy test and tell her to take it. If i was her i would need some kind of help b/c she has no idea what to do. If she doesn't know who the father is well be there for her and be there when she tell her parents and if you do tell them that you are not the father and what ever you do don't make her put the baby for aboption or abortion too b/c thats bad. I hope that she does the right thing and again you are doing the right thing of helping her.

What a sweet friend you are!
Just be there for her. Try to convince her to take a pregnancy test or to go to a Planned Parenthood clinic and take one (it's free and totally confidential). She needs friends like you around her, especially if she IS pregnant. Assure her that you'll always be there for her.
There isn't much else you can do. Just hope that she does the mature and responsible thing by taking a test and if she IS pregnant, then she needs to see a doctor immediately and also tell her parents and the father of the child. But that's something SHE will have have to do on her own and that no one can make her do. But just be there for her when she needs the support.

Rick First of all you must be a great guy and even a better friend.
Buy the kit for her and give it to her. ON THE SLY!!! So know one knows. Don't say anything to anyone of what you know and are doing. This getting around is the last thing she needs. Then just be there for her. If it's positive she does need to talk to the folks no matter how hard it is. The sooner the better so she has choices. Just tell her to do it when no ones in a hurry or a bad mood. A calm time would be best.

Tell her that for the sake of the baby's health and her own, she needs to see a doctor right away. And the doctor can do a pregnancy test right in the office.
Her parents of course need to know right away too but the doctor (she can see a nurse if she can't get an appointment with the doctor like, tomorrow) will tell her that too and she will have more information for them after that office visit anyway.

OK...WELL AS A GIRL I THINK THAT YOU SHOULD HELP HER OUT. I THINK THAT YOU SHOULD GO AHEAD AND BUY HER THE PREGNANCY TEST AND GIVE IT TO HER. IF SHE'S SCARED TO DO IT HERSELF, GET IT FOR HER AND MAKE HER TAKE IT, IT'S FOR HER BENEFIT. SHE NEEDS TO KNOW IF SHE IS PREGNANT OR NOT. SO MY ADVICE TO YOU IS TO GO AND BUY HER THE TEST AND THEN SHE WILL KNOW WHAT THE RESULTS ARE AND CAN TAKE IT FROM THERE. IF IT DOES TURN OUT THAT SHE IS THEN JUST STICK BY HER SIDE AND BE THERE FOR HER EVEN THOUGH YOU ARENT THE FATHER AND IF SHE ISNT THEN THAT'S SOMETHING TO BE RELIEVED ON. IF I WAS HER I WOULD WANT TO TAKE THE TEST SO I WOULDNT BE STRESSED ABOUT IT AND YOU CAN FIND THE RESULTS QUICKER AND TAKE IT STEP TO STEP FROM THERE. JUST MY ADVICE TO YOU HOPE IT HELPED YOU A LITTLE.

She couldn't let you do it? I'm a guy myself almost twice ur age but still its hard to tell but that sounds like she is saying She could not ask you to do it, but you can, if you want to.
or the other seniero is that if she takes the test and she is(which alrdy knows, but confirms it) she has to tell her parents. Talk to her, reassure her she not alone and go with her to buy the test. Also let her know there is no avoiding this, so there is no need to delay it any longer.

She does need to know right away if she is pregnant, so go buy the test for her and have her take it first thing in the morning. If she is pregnant she needs to tell someone in authority right away. It will be hard but it HAS to be done for hers and the baby's safety.

Be there for her, she is so scared right now she just needs a friend. Help her understand that if she is the only one that can make the decision to keep it or not and even if her parents tell her what she "needs" to do, its HER body and HER baby.

Okay, buy her a prg. test and give it to her. She'll know what to do from there on. Most of us girls can have different mood swings but they are caused by different reasons! Stress, hormones, diet, etc. There are many birth control options out there for us ladies. Best of luck.

You need to get her to take a pregnancy test and then have her talk to her parents. If she is pregnant and does not see a doctor she is putting herself and the baby in danger!
