Each has its own features and benefits, but I'd go with the Volvo. Luxury cars should be safe, comfortable, and yet not cost twice their MSRP in insurance, which many of the visually flashier models do. They should be easy to drive and become accustomed to. The Volvo is a nice happy medium. They are built around driver comfort, convenience, and occupant safety rather than with the "lets put FINS on it" mentality. They have decent performance, are economy-minded, and unless you buy a bright red one will probably never get you stopped for speeding.
For instance, the other day while waiting for service at a Volvo dealer I got into an s80 and looked around. I noted that to use the climate control, you should "point toward warm" with a simple red and blue knob and "toward the part of your body that you'd like warm" using a pictograph of a seated human body. In other words, the car is built intuitively around making you look at the road, not 14 billion tiny buttons and switches.
I eliminated:
1) The Cadillac for its high theft rate generated by its "bling factor" and the tendency for American carmakers to have renewed their love for ornamentation - yards of garish chrome and rims bigger than Kirstie Alley after a Hostess Cupcake binge.
2) The Audi for its terrifyingly bad dealer service and the fact that its basically a VW Passat wearing a different skin. If you want Audi performance at a lower price, buy a Passat.
3) The Mercedes for the quality downgrade caused by its relationship to Chrysler. Who wants to pay $60k for a car with the dashboard of a Chrysler Pacifica? Who wants to hit a pothole in the road and get a flashing warning from the computer to "visit workshop immediately!"
4) Though it would likely be the most reliable, Acuras are very popular with tuners, making it a theft target as it ages. They are also completely bereft of any sort of brand appeal. In other words, it's a big Honda.
5) The BMW for a low level of interior comfort and the fact that you'll probably crash while trying to learn to use its complicated i-Drive system. The seats feel like reformed pieces of credit card plastic overlaid with 1/8 of an inch of foam - so you'll have a backache while trying to turn the radio on with a tiny silver stick that controls everything but your bladder.

All of them are Great cars but I would not consider the Acura, the Volvo.
MB first choice.
Then Bemer or Audi
The Caddy.
The Volvo is highly overrated, and the Acura is just a glorified Honda.
