my "best friend" of 7 years did not invite me to er wedding... I found out afterward and she said it was just a "small family thing"
ok, so i was hurt. but i got over it and invited her to MY wedding even tho it was also small. that was in november. now ive had major surgery, ( she knew what day i was going in) i called her the day after and she had company and had to go. then i left her two msgs in the last 11 days. She doesnt return my calls to even find out how it went, or am I ok or anything!
Is it just me, or did our frinedship go down the drain when i wasnt looking?

Sometimes you "outgrow" friends. I have had many a friend, where I realized the scales were tremendously unbalanced. As you grow older, you take different turns in life, priorities change and sometimes they don't match with your very best friend. Look ahead, realized you will meet new people, and let go of any one who does not bring something positive to your life.

I think you sound like a very nice person who needs a better friend than the one you've described. You should not have been left out of her wedding...that is proof that she is perhaps too focused on her new man and is leaving her friends to fend for themselves. She is self- and husband absorbed.

If she was really your friend she would have been there to make sure your surgery went ok. Talk to her and see why see isn't being very friend like. It will all work out in the end.

You must be sure that she is not going through something really bad, something that won't let her be there for you; but if there are no reasons for her not caring for you, then she is not a good friend. Friendship is a two way street, so if you really care about her, she should care about you in the same way.

She is a selfish bit*ch who will come crawling back at some time, you can forgive her once but if she does it again then she really isnt a true friend, dont let her use you

You two grew apart, but you haven't recognized it. Chalk it up to getting older. This is the end of "best friends" as we knew them.

Sounds like either something happened or she has drifted away. If something happened, a real friend should have told you.

something happened and maybe you're going to have to ask her whats going on? maybe you did something to offend her and might not realize it. maybe she just doesn't value your friendship like you thought.
i think you should be upfront with her and ask her what is going on and take it from there.
