I've had occasional milk leakage since I was a teenager when I was bitten on the nipple by a horse. The last week I've been having discharge that is different from what I've had in the past. There are three types of discharge I'm having. One is milk, but very sticky. Usually when I have milk leaking it is a consistency you'd expect, but now it has been more the consistency of rubber cement. Another is clear and watery, and another is dark green and watery. I've researched the internet and have found that this might be normal and it might not be. I am not pregnant nor have I ever had a child. I do plan on seeing my doctor about this, so I am not asking for a diagnosis of any kind. My question is if any other woman has had something similar. If so, have you always had milk discharge even when you are not pregnant nor breastfeeding? Thanks in advance!

I was putting a bridle on a horse that was bit shy. If you are an equestrian, you will understand. Simply put, the horse didn't like things put over his head, he turned his head and bit me.

I know this is a strange question, but please, if you aren't answering this question seriously, don't answer. I really don't need the childish and disgusting answers.

I have been producing milk for over 4 years now because of my polycistic ovarian syndrom but I've never had anything like that. When I went to my doctor the first time. They tested to make sure it was milk. You need to have the doctor take a sample, because it sounds like an in fection if its dark green, the other clear and watery sounds like milk.

If you are not pregnant, nor are you breastfeeding than you should not have any milk from your breast, unless you have a hormonal imbalance. Do you stimulate your breast? If you do this might be another reason (rare but small possibility).
How long has it been since the incident with the horse? This is also another point that needs to be considered.
Your doctor can really help you on this one. Take care and I wish you the best!

okay. i dont believe there is anything to worry about. its probably just an hormone inbalance. Just for the record, not only pregnant people have this discharge. I do and i am not pregnant nor have a ever been pregnant. At times mine is like milk with a creamy color. then sometimes like clear and watery. I have never had teh dark gree, but i am sure it is normal

Normally leakage of the breast when not pregnant can be caused by many things one could be hormonal imbalance or two something that may be a little more for concern. Speak to your doctor they will know. A friend of mine had "leaky boobs" as she called them and even though her periods were regular she did have a hormonal imbalance which was easily treatable. Sorry I cant remember the name of the symptoms. Good luck.

It happens. You don't have to be pregnant to generate milk.

If your nipples or breasts are stimulated, they might lactate all on their own. If you say you were bitten on the nipple by a horse, then presumably it hurt, maybe itches, or constantly has some kind of nerve stimulation, and this could cause it to lactate (generate milk) as a result of constant stimulation.

Ask your doctor, but it's probably okay, and yet you'll probably have to live with it.

You need to see a dr about this to check to see if there is a hormone imbalance or something else going on to cause this problem.
