That varies from woman to woman. I have known two women who did not show for SEVEN MONTHS.

The uterus doesn't get big enough to come up and out of the pelvis until you are about 12 weeks or so. At that point (depending on your build) you should be able to feel it just peeping up over the top of your pubic bone. Your uterus will then continue to grow upwards at the rate of approximately 1cm a week until you are in the low 30's weeks (week 34 or so). This is called your "fundal height". Your fundal height should reach your belly button at about week 20 or so. This is when strangers may start to notice your pregnancy, especially if it's your first. But it depends on your build, and how you dress.
Changes to your lower belly in the first trimester are normally more directly attributable to fluid retention or changes to your digestive habits (constipation is common) which may cause your tummy to distend and feel a bit swollen and hard, or bloated and squishy.

Not always true. I started showing at 10 weeks noticably and I had to spend 200 dollars on maternity clothes yesterday because for the past 2 weeks I couldn't even come close to buttoning my pants and all my shirts look like halter tops. I am 15 weeks and 5 days pregnant now.
I am also of a smaller build... 5'2" and 100 pounds

Hi
I think it would be giving false ideas to say yes or no that people would see that you are preggas at 4 - 5 mths. As it entirely depends on you and your partners size, the health of the fetus, weight gain of the bub and also whether you have a large volume of amniotic fluid or not. I guess it comes to the fact that no two women carry the same or show the same,
Best of luck and warm wishes for your pregnancy.
Regards
Jewelz

I feel and see a difference, it's like I ate a lot and I'm all bloated, my stomach kind of pooches out now and it's not flat like it was 9 weeks ago. I guess you don't start "showing" a big round belly until 4-5 monthes, but the weight around your waist will increase.

That is true, but it really depends on you! For you, you will start being very aware of the little things your belly does, and of course you will feel like you are showing... and you might show sooner then expected... it just depends on you and your precious baby!! I showed when I was 3 months, and I loved every second of it lol!! I wish ya the best, and congratz!!

Depending on your size. Most women start to show after the second month. I started feeling both of my children move by 3 months. You pants feeling tight is a good sign that you are starting to show.
