Do research online for awhile. (I included some good sites). Then, try buying a few basic magic books. (True Magic by Amber K is amazing. The best thing about that book is that it is always useful, no matter how much you know... so ten years from now, you could still be using that book).

By the time that you have done this, you should be ready to do a basic ritual. Perform a ritual, paying close attention to how it feels. You need to figure out your personal beliefs - how you practice can differ from someone else just one person's slight belief. These might change in time, but it's good to have an idea of what you think is ethically right and wrong.

Finding a mentor with is also suggested. Like anything, not everything you read online or in books is correct, or just might not be correct for you with your beliefs. Even if you don't want a mentor, talking to others with similar beliefs always is good, or at least interesting :)

When you have felt that you've learned enough about the basics, branch out. Research Celtic magic, dream magic, using herbs and gemstones, etc. You'll find that you relate better to different types of magic, and you'll be drawn to those.

And you can always use the year and a day method - learn everything you can for that length of time, and then on that last day, decide if it's for you.

If you need some help along your way, feel free to contact me. I've been practicing for about ten years now.

Good luck!

Well first off, I don't believe in the supernatural. Everything exists within Nature, but not everything has been explained by science. psychic abilities are a part of Nature that we humans as a whole have ignored for so long that it requires a lot of effort to develop. As far as embracing Wicca, start reading. There are tons of books about Wicca (some good some not as good) and they will help you to develop your relationship with Nature and Mother Earth. Some of my personal favorite books would be:

"The Truth About Witchcraft Today" by Scott Cunningham

"Wicca, A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner" by Scott Cunningham

"Earth Power" by Scott Cunningham

"Sabbats: A Witch's Approach to Living the Old Ways" by Edain McCoy

"Wheel of the Year: Living the Magical Life" by Pauline Campanelli

"Color Magic for Beginners" by Richard Webster

"Candle Magic for Beginners" by Richard Webster

"Animal Speak: The Spiritual & Magical Powers of Creatures Great and Small" by Ted Andrews

and I would very highly recommend reading

"Creative visualization" by Shakti Gawain for anyone, not just Wiccans!!

I wish you bright blessings on your path and if I can help in any other way feel free to email me.

Blessed Be )O(

Read about it and see if it really is for you. Most important supernatural and paranormal and psychokinesis and Wicca are all about the same in some ways and not in most. Might I suggest some web sites to look at.

Study is a good point. Another is to find a coven or mentor. You may not find a coven you like right away, but keep looking.
