whats more embarrassing, being a guy in his early 20s - being gay as in homosexual or a guy who is straight but never had a girlfriend in his life before? which one should feel more ashamed of more?

Well since I'm straight I cant say about the gay part but if he is then why would his not having a gf be an issue after all he's gay. I would guess that being gay would be the bigger issue I've had like 13 gfs since I was 12 & my parents only knew of 2 even to this day. The being gay part though is often looked down upon by friends family jobs & others. Gfs & sex is only a big deal around the guys & in high school before we grow up so seems like your friend being gay would be the bigger issue. Most gays or lesbians struggle with it for a long time especially about telling others like friends let alone family.... Good luck....

Personally I think that they're both fine.... if your gay then you shouldn't be embarrassed about it. I f you haven't found a girlfriend yet go out a find her. Its not like your life is going to be over anytime soon, Why be embarrassed over little stuff.

I don't know why not having a girlfriend whould be embarassing unless you are ready for marriage. The shame of this is this is if it would be less embarassing to be gay.

Who is he talking to, to be embarrassed? Obviously not "little ol' caring" you. You've published it all over the net. Is he an easy enough target to pump up your ego? Does it make you feel bigger? Why the ax to grind? Got gay tendancies yourself?
