I don't get it... You can barely understand what they are saying and when you can, they're talking about drugs or something....

If you think about it, you probably understand more of the words than you think you do, but you don't realize it b/c you don't completely understand the slang they use. I love rap. You might think that all rap is talking about drugs or something of that nature. They rap about what they know. In my opinion, all the really great rappers grew up in rough, rough neighborhoods, so they write about it. And if you take any rapper, 2pac, 50 cent, Nas, Jay Z, NWA. And you go back to their first albums, there are so many lessons to be learned, so many things that are spoken that middle class America doesn't understand. So when someone like myself has life experience that are similar hears spoken words that can touch your heart b/c someone understands, its amazing. You can't blame rappers for when they get big and all they rap about is cars, clothes, diamonds. B/c if you came from nothing and now you have something, you would want to tell the world yourself.

Ok well rap iz cool that iz my favorite type of music and also hip hop and also r&b. Well most people like me like rap because of the beats and maybe if you get the lyrics to the song then you will know what they are sayin'. I know a whole lot of words to a whole lot of rap songs. Rap iz just what it is and they don't always talk about drugs and stuff. Rap is not a bad thing like most people think it is. I mean there are hip hop songs with rap parts in it. If you like hip hop you most likely will like rap too. I mean if you like anything with any beat to it then its gonna be hip hop or rap. I like rap and dats my style. I rep. Rap and hip hop. I'd rather listen to rap and hip hop anyday not only cuz itz ma style but cuz I don't like that hardcore rock people b listenin to that aint got no type of beat or nothin. And you can't understand what they b sayin half the time either so rap iz what it iz and itz gon b around 4 ever soo yall just gon have to deal wit it if u don't like it. You can also dance to it to cuz its easy to stay with the beat besides dancin to some rock music that aint even got no beat barely to even move to. I guess I can say the same to you Why do yall like Rock and Country music???

People like rap b/c it has all these feelings in the music and it rhymes and fools. Im sorrry that you can't understand what they are saying but i guess try to listen harder. Rap is my favortie music and it's dance music and you can have fun with it not just sit and listen to it with rock you just listen and move on but with rap you can have fun with friends and it's in our past and the music brings different people together thats y people love it without it. It would be a borning life without it okay thank you i hope it helps you out

Rap music is my life..

I could ask the same for people who like rock or country.

Does it really matter?

I grew up in the 'ghetto' where everybody around me seemed to be doing drugs, so unless you've been there, don't insult rappers lives.

BTW, not all rappers talk about drugs, try listening to any Tupac songs.
