You'll have to go to the drug store for this... so not home remedy but it is the best thing I have found. I've tried about every remedy there is. It's called Iodex. It looks like axle grease but if you use it your poison ivy will be dead the next day. To use it though you have to break all of the rules: 1. scrape open the blisters and clean with soap and water. 2. dry off and quickly apply the Iodex then cover with gauze or a soft dry cloth so you won't wipe the Iodex off accidentally. The next morning you'll see that the poison ivy is dead. You'll probably have to ask the pharmacist to get it for you as it won't be out on a shelf or display. It's not prescription. Make sure you ask for the one that is for cuts and abrasions. @JenV: Thanks for that. Like you I have been covered from head to foot, many times. I will have to give your Neoxyn a try. This is the first I have heard of it.

my aunt is a nurse and it best to drink coke! It will help you stop throughing up and also help with the nasea. Also if your nasea is cause from drinking?? you can the "chaser" pills and that seems to helpl. if you are pregnant. the best is just try the coke. if it gets to worse where the coke or time. is not working you must go to the doctor because that means you are dehydrated. go to webmd.com and that will explain more on dehydration. if you are sleepy, nausea, and you skin is turning pale or yellow then you are dehydrated and you need to drink sport drinks or go to the doctor. becuase water will actually not help. THat is best misconception!!! That is why you see the professional athletes drinking gatorade and such. it is made to help you hydrated and active. Also if you are currently taking any new medicine or changed your life style or eating habits. This can be your cause for the naseua because your body has to readjust to the change.

Buy some ginger tea, or better yet - buy some ginger root and boil it in water to make your own tea, or just simply eat some ginger root. It's pretty powerful stuff so you don't need all that much, but it really works on nausea and is one of the few things that pregnant women can actually take when they have morning sickness.

it sounds kinda crazy but my mom used it on me my whole life and it seemed to work. Get some boil in the bag rice and cook it. Take the cooled down water and drink a little bit of it. I'm not sure of the science behind it but it worked when i was a child. Also i have heard that blackberry wine will work too.

ginger tea is wonderful especially when you boil the water then steep freshly chopped ginger in it covered. Try not to make it to strong. I love it that way. but you might not. Add a little milk and honey if you want it sweet. Or...you can try peppermint tea or chamomile. Good Luck
