Very few men in Scotland wear kilts. That's something Scottish men used to wear a long time ago. That was when a man wearing a skirt was not labled as a "girlie boy". That was when the word gay meant happy. Fortunately, many women still enjoy wearing skirts because they want to show off their smooth legs. Is there anything good about seeing a man's hairy legs in public? I can't think of anything. Can you imagine seeing a guy's hairy chest because he decided not to wear a shirt to work one day? A guy wearing a skirt is similar to that. People don't want to see body hair exposed in public. A guy could shave his legs and wear a skirt, but women are already doing that. There's no need for men and women to be exactly alike.

I've seen couples wear skirts together out in public together at the beach, theaters, museums, theme parks, climbing, hiking, restaurants and lots of other places, and I've never seen anyone have a problem with it. If the attire isn't too wild and he wears a knee length skirt with shaven legs, hose and some sneaker wedges or boots it looks quite hot with a polo shirt and or a hoodie or a jacket. It's comfortable, sexy, and very good for his health which benefits her for obvious reasons, plus if she wears a skirt too they match which is wonderful to look at ! :">

Thats funny, I've thought the same to. And don't ever call a KILT a scotish skirt, they don't liek that very much. I dated a punk who wore a kilt once, I thought it was freakin hot cause he wore dr.martin's (combat boots) with them, and just that he had the uhum... backbone... to wear it was a total turn on, he didn't care what anyone thought, it shows that he has a lot of confidence. And a lot of other cultures men wear "dresses" like kimonos, or muslims.

I have read the same thing. It does make sense, and historically in quite a few cultures, women do wear pants.
Over time, oppression and convienince have created the switch in garments.
