My son wants to attend a tech school in Wyoming called Wyotech where he would learn car mechanics, specifically regarding computer and electrical systems. Does anyone know anything about this school?

Yes i do now about wyotech it's in wyoming and i had a friend go there for automotive so yes it's a very well known school and youll get a great education! Good luck i hope you go there!

Wyotech was my first choice, but funding forced me into another route. I went into the apprenticship program instead, I ended up attenedint SAIT (Souther Alberta Institute of Technology and Polytechnics). SAIT is ranked right up there with Wyotech. If he can get in, I'm in 100% supporting him. Its nice to see people getting into the trade. This trade is becoming a lost art in a sence. Computers are where the money is at now, in cars, at least, everything is now computer controled. Try to get a grant or a scholership or something to make funding a little more friendly. My case was moving there from Calgary and then putting myself thourgh school, so I had more costs as well.

I do. I live in Laramie Wyoming, the home of Wyotech. It used to be one of the finest schools that someone who wanted to pursue a career in mechanics could go to. I almost went there when I was younger. It was bought out a few years ago by Corinthian Colleges and I think it has gone down in reputation since.

Wyotech is in Laramie, WY. It is not what it used to be....... but is still a good school. My nephew graduated from there a year ago. CONS - Placement program is not very good.

They used to go by a different name, at least in California. They seem to be legit, though I don't know about the cost or the job prospects afterwards. Seen their commercials for years.

It's a good place. But it's not cheap. The cost of the school does not include food or a place to stay.
