I am from Michigan and I am stuck in Fargo, ND at this time because of job. So no, there is worse place than where you live.
I have lived in Ann Arbor, Houghton and Ypsilanti.
Fargo sucks and I don't even want to know what other podunk towns in other areas of ND are like.

No; but living in Northern Indiana, I've noticed that many people from Michigan can't drive.

No.
My Grandparents live in Newaygo, and my uncle in kalamazoo, and my aunt in Detroit.
Northwestern Michigan is BEAUTIFUL!
And my mom says, it'sm even more beautifull in the fall. I wanna see it during Blueberry season.

I don't think it is that bad. My parents lived there for years, in a lovely house on a lake. There are times when the climate is trying, but that is true most anywhere.

Actually, I think it's more of a $#!% handle. Har har.
It wouldn't be one of my top choices to live, but I'm from New York... we got a lot in common in terms of weather, city structure, demographics... yup, NY and Michy. You've got your pretty places, we have ours, but overall, we're dreary states.
