No, I don't think that it is a scam. If it was, they would have gotten into deep trouble by now. It is a serious crime to run a fraudulent contest. I doubt any credible magazine would chance the penalties of running a scam like that. Hearst Corporation has a lot of money and a lot of credibility to do something like that.
My sister won a cashmere sweater in the Glamor magazine contest a while back. (It was quite an expensive sweater.) So yes, real people do win those contests.

I know someone who won something on one of the "free for all" days--when they give out 1000 items. Other than that, she hasnt won anything else even though she enters every day.

I thought it was too, but i know sumone who won something. but i mean they do give out free movie tickets, i did get that. but i've always wanted to win a drawing thingy

SCAM. i know NO ONE who has won anything. NADA. i ve eventually learned not to even bother entering those things. as sad as that sounds,,,,,but ya....
