Gosh! you are just 21 and feel that u might be too old to join a college?
Not at all pal, you are infact very young and do you know having a work experience of 2 years is a added advantage. Infact many colleges prefer students with working experience only.

You have numerous options - you can study part time / distance mode / regular. I know many students who start at 25.
So all the best.

I served 4 years in the military service before attending college (attended on the G.I. Bill) and although I was a few years older than most of the other students, there were a few quite a lot older than me. I hear of people raising families and then going back to school. I'm not sure what the legal ramifications are of dealing with the felony offense, but any prospective employer who saw that after that, you attended college and hopefully get some type of degree, you would show that you've matured and mended your ways and can be a good candidate for employment. If you feel a little stale from being out of school so long, attend a community college to get back the feel of studying without making a commitment to any major field. The field you select should be the one that requires the skills you are best at (some still to be realized) and something you enjoy. Good luck to you.

First of all it is never to late to go to college or make a career change my aunt is 40 years old and is in her third year of college and she is very proud. So you should also be very proud and try a career that interest's you and that you can see your self doing years from now and still loving it. Find your passion for something. I think now day's yes felony's are bad and that's that but that was your past your bettering your self and wanting to start a new career and life doing the college thing that it shouldnt stand in your way especially if you graduate and have a college degree some company's are very understanding and would aplode you for turning your life around! Good job and you will find more people in college your age so dont sweat the small stuff just go for it only you can make your dreams come true. And remember dont worry about what anything has to say!
Good luck, Trisha

first off, ending your life is never the best thing. there are alot of worse scenarios than having a felony. I'm 25 and had to quit school because I was pregnant. I'm going back to school this Aug. soon after I will turn 26. Its never too late. There are plenty of people out their ready to give someone a second chance at life if they really want it. Just don't give up and surround yourself with positive people. Your way to young to think life is over. Think about it, you could start school now for medicine and still be like 28 or so and be a doctor. A 28 yr old doctor. Same with anything else. A 26 year old teacher, nurse, buisness owner. You could even go to school for law and possibly be a 30 year old lawyer. Your so not to old to go back to school. Kudos to you for wanting to go back to school and get life straightened out. Sometimes when you think your at the bottom, you can at least say there is only one to place to go from here and that is up. Be proud of you and your dreams. Don't let your mistakes or your procrastination stop you from getting what you want. Your past has made you who you are and taught you lessons that I hope have made you stronger. Smile. Be happy that your alive and able to go back to school and don't worry about what others think.

I started college at 21, almost 22.

Yeah, it feels kinda weird for the first months, i won't lie to you. But after a while you get to know all these "kids" and they're actually very good friends despite their age, and they're as good as any classmate you've ever had. Age and wisdom do not necessarily mix.

As far as your felony record goes, you must be the best. Show that you belong there (i.e. college/work) and that your past records do not define who you are. Be the best and nobody will ever take that away from you.

attending to entice close is by no potential a waste of time. Sucide is an quite egocentric act and that i wish you reconsider it out of know to the human beings that do love you! there are fairly some human beings in college who're no longer classic pupils. My dad replaced into 40 years previous at the same time as he opt for back to college. He were given his degree and earns an quite respectable residing. He too felt like you probably did (about being the oldest individual contained in the kind) so he took evening instructions. the human beings there have been older and extra concentrated and did fairly properly and loved it. Granted once you graduate, you wont be able to get particular jobs yet there'll be plenty jobs that you'll do regardless of a criminal! have you ever concept about getting a job the position you could help human beings a job in counseling the position you would possibly want to recommend others hostile to doing the quite some issues that you probably did once you've been youthful? perhaps you could merely bypass back to college to take some corporation instructions so as that start up your individual corporation the position you would possibly want to correctly be your individual boss, you would possibly want to purchase some backyard mowers and and start up a backyard care corporation or different elements and start up a janitorial corporation. there are fairly some jobs you would possibly want to CREATE for your self. you would possibly want to even attain back and help some others that are at present on your project. You commited a robbery! You paid your debt and society has forgiven you (or you does no longer were launched). Now it truly is time to do what you could do to make your existence what you opt for it to be. you could do this. Please do no longer kill your self. Others are relying on you. Your question replaced into ok written so it truly is obtrusive that you at the on the spot are not stupid. it may well be your destiny that you're to assist somebody else or a lot of of someone elses. you could do this!

I didn't go to college until I was 30. There was a lady there at that time that was 68. People going back to school at 40, 50 or even 60 years of age is not that uncommon. So, what do you mean by "too old"?

I just turned 34 and finally went back to college. I was too busy working and raising babies to do it before. It is the best choice I have ever made for myself. It feels funny, when you see people younger than you in the classes, but it is something that you quickly get over once you get in the groove of things. Good luck, I hope you find what you are looking for.

The contracting business is good. My friend is a painter and makes nearly 10k a month doing it. He works alone of course, and sometimes long hours, but he is financially secure. He also takes vacations on his schedule. You will have to get a contracting liscense first. There are alot of people who are willing to pay big bucks for contractors, believe me. If you want to go back to college, find something you are good at and go with it. Its never to late, i am doing it at 24. And never think about ending your life. Nothing is worth that.

No matter what age you are, it's never to late to attend college. My father is 39 and he's attending college.

As for your felony, some a Judge may allow you to erase it. Get with an Attorney at Law, and see what he says.
