My brother and I have been debating this all night. What do you think? Can either one of them get in right now? If not what do they need to do, can they do what they need to do, or do they just have no shot at all?

My brother wants me to *** Tiki Barber. So how about him. Can Tiki get in?

Randy Moss will. I don't think Jamal or Tiki Barber will.

Randy Moss's stats for his first 7 years in the league were better than Jerry Rice's. I think Moss would be close to the hall if he retired right now, but if the rumors are true about him getting traded to the Pat's, I think the Brady/Moss combo would propel him over the hump. He maybe a 1st ballad if he does anything in NE.

Jamal Lewis's career was nice, but not quite HOF material yet. He's had some outstanding seasons, but it was short lived. Before and after those years he's been average. Two or three more great seasons and his resume could be good enough.

Tiki Barber is border line, 50/50 if you may. I'm no expert, but my instincts say no though. This retirement of his hurt him quite abit. If he would have played... say, two more season, he might have gotten in on his 3rd, 4th ballad.

Randy Moss needs at least a couple of more seasons like the onces he had in Minnesota to make the HoF. His numbers have dropped off dramaticlly since leaving the Vikings, and I dont see them rebounding anytime soon. Jamal Lewis had one great season. Other than that, he is not top 5 most dominant RB of his era. That is a must meet criteria for the hall and Jamal Lewis clearly doesnt belong in that category. As for Barber, he wasnt consistent enough early in his career and had the fumbling problems. Just as he is beginning to establish himself as one of the most dominant RBs in the league and putting up great numbers, he walked away from the game. If Tiki had a couple more seasons like he had last year, I am sure he would be in the hall, but because he walked away at a young age, i would be very surprised if he gets voted into the hall.

At this moment in time I would say neither payer has made a impact worthy enough for the Hall of Fame. Jamal had a few good season and so has Moss...... Its what you do on and off the field, It's how you lead your team, It's being the goto guy when needed and not pointing the finger when things go wrong.

Jamal is an avarage Running back at the end of his career...He would need to finish his career strong to even be considered being but on the ballot.

Moss has all the talent in the world, his potential is endless.....his attitude stinks. He has forced himself into this position, he got a nice contract, but he is on a team where he will be lucky to get the ball 1 or 2 times a game. If he can adjust his attitude and get on a different team....one where he'll get the ball....he has a better chance of being inducted into the HOF. But its a long shot!!! -Playbookcritic

Lewis had a 2000 yard season, and a decent career as a whole, so he's got a better shot than Moss, who will not even see a .500 record again, let alone the Hall, if he stays with the Raiders. He better pray to be traded. Moss had an explosive start to his career, but he's done nothing in Oakland, and consistency counts. If Lewis comes back and has even 1 more 1000 yard season, he'll help his chances a lot.

For Moss, the statement will always be "if he......" No doubt he has all the physical tools to be a first ballot nominee. Since he left Minn career has been avg at best. Put with the right coach and team he is a shoe-in, but his better days are behind him and there is just too much talent elsewhere. Lewis is a hard working back but not enough flash. Stats don't support his nomination

I don't think Randy has enough years left to prove he belongs in the HOF....He wasted too much time and lost too much respect around the league with his lack of effort. That being said, if he goes to a contender (Pats) and ends up contributing big time and maybe the MVP of a Super Bowl, that could change... It's his only chance.

Jamal Lewis... No way.. His legal battles and lack of production keep him out. His production is on par with someone like a Christian Okoye... Fun to watch when they are in their prime, but no staying power...

I think Tiki gets in. Not a first-ballot guy, but one day he will grace the stage. Such solid production and such a team first person, he is what the Hall is looking for. Compare career numbers vs. Jamal and you will understand why one is in and the other isn't.

Talent wise (as that's supposed to be the only thing considered) then Randy might get in (he needs to step it up stat wise now and till the end of his career) but Jamal no --he had a great 2003 but that's about it --he's a B+ back at best.

Tiki should get in. He was never THE best back in the league, but being in the top 5 as long as he was should garner him a spot (maybe not right away, but eventually).

Tiki, yes. Lewis, no. Moss, maybe. If Moss goes to Green Bay and resurrects his career, then he'll have a shot. If he retired today, no way.

I agree with the others above.....Lewis is just SO-SO....
but Randy's attitude has cost him a shot at GREATNESS
BUT....he still has plenty of UP side still...where Lewis doesn't...
as far as TIKI goes a good back.........looks like a great guy (should be good for TV) but I can't put that BARRY SANDERS label on him

If anyone it'd be Randy Moss. Look at his records and the timely fashion he set them in. Not taking anything away from Jamal Lewis, but he is average at best...and besides..Randy is on the Jumpteam!!
