High school classes wont make a difference. It is the college you choose. I have a friend who is a zoologist at the Bronx zoo.

ok Im going to be a zoologist too and this was my biggest question. Im a sophomore now at Guilford College. In high school I took regular bio, advanced bio, AP bio, Environmental Science, as well as a concurrent enrollment course at a local college. If you can do concurrent enrollment do it!!! trust me it helps, especially if you can get the grades to transfer for college credits. I wish I had done so much more because once you get to college u spend so much time doing regular graduation requirements that it takes away from alot of the classes you actually want to do. Also start interning or volunteering at a local zoo or vet or anything to do with animals because this is one job where experience really counts. if you have anymore questions you can im me on yahoo and i'll try and help. Good luck!

Any and all science classes. AP biology. Some schools have work study programs. I know of one that had such a program with a veterinarian. Volunteer to do anything related to biology or ecology. Take bio related courses at your local community college.

You will need all the biology, chemistry, and mathematics credits you can get. This is the basis for your future in zoology. Be sure to talk to your Guidance Counselor at high school, and check with the local community college counselors as to what preparation you will need to succeed. Good Luck.

Whatever biology courses you can get.

Math courses are good for any scientific career — even biology is now increasingly mahematical (particularly in terms of systems and ecology).

And learn to write, precisely and with a clear, simple, style.

I can't imagine you have a wide variety of courses to choose from in high school, but take as many sciences as you can.
