I used to tell my husband " it isn't what you say it's how you say it", so there,it depends on the tone in which it was said.I can't tell you how many times the same thing happened to us, after 29 yrs things have gotten better, hope it doesn't take you this long.

That was rude, but I don't understand the last sentence, did you say that you told him not to tell you when he wants to do something? That is the start of loss of communication. You need to ask him why he said it not get upset at him right back. I know that it was rude and you don't have to put up with it and it shows a bad example to your son but to tell him that I don't think was the best thing but understandably so as you were upset.

My husband could say the same thing easily. I think they do care, especially since they show they do in other ways. Menspeak is different from Womenspeak , they don't develop as well in the social graces (Sorry Guys). And some of them simply never get there. I'm sorry you feel so hurt but don't take it personally. Do let him know how it made you feel though.

I think you may have overreacted. It doesn't sound like he meant it the way you took it. If he was distracted by the TV or a conversation with your son, he didn't really have a chance to think about how you might take it. I think he just was saying, "that's fine, dear!"
I like doing dishes- It's like a bubble bath for your hands! And sometimes it's the closest we get to having time for a bubble bath. lol

Oh honey, lighten up. Men don't think like women do. They aren't as sensative as we'd like them to be and they aren't always as romantic either. We woman plan and envision what our marriage is going to be like our entire lives...only to be let down constantly by the reality of it. So take it with a grain of salt sweety and the next time he tells you to go and do what you want, ask for the keys to his car and a credit card. I guarantee he NEVER says it again!

the comment "go do whatever you want" is usually used in rude contexts so i would take it as being rude too, but maybe he didn't mean it like that. it's just that usually when you hear this phrase being used, it is used in a rude way.

Its not rude. And you don't have to tell somebody when you want to take a shower.

Well, go do whatever you want about it.
Seriously though, why are you interpreting his remarks as negative? Why let him control your moods? Don't buy into the fantasy that other people can hurt your feelings without you letting them.

This seems to be for the reason that he migt have wanted to talk to you for some thing. It is just a statement.dont attach intention to it.look for its reasons.I feel that he was much upset that day.ask him the reason for this.U r bound to get hurt and he was indeed rude.however at this moment it is important to look at things from his perspective and be a support to him.
