I would go for massage therapy just because I think you could make more money doing that.

Think that you should go to the massage school. You will have more opportunities. If you work for a resort or large hotel you can get benefits. I don't think that you will get benefits doing nails.
Also, as a therapist you can work for a cruise line and travel while earning money. Because the cruise ships are in international waters you don't have to pay taxes on your income either. I think that you would make a lot more money in tips also.
Who knows maybe you would really love the massage thing and open your own business or it might lead you into a medical job.
Good luck :)

There is pros and cons to both.

Massage thereapy:
Pros- more money, more opportunity because there is a high demand for them, short schooling, potenial for owning your own business or even doing it out of your own home, you can help people
Cons- I think the biggest con is that the average length of time for massage thereapists hands is only a couple years. Meaning if you do it on a regular basis it could ruin your hands by giving you arthiritis and such. My massage thereapist told she knew a girl who only did it for a year and now her hands are shot. It depends on the person.

Nail:
Pros- fun, short school, could own your own business, there is a good demand for them, you can really show off your creative side.
Cons- It could get old afterawhile, not much room for advancement in any way,

Remember this answer is just my opinion and if I were you I would do both. The schooling is short enough where you could get licensed in both and maybe do each of them part-time. Or switch off when you need to. That way it will keep things interesting and exciting and you can do both of the things you love!

God Bless and happy soul searching.

Definitely massage therapist! You meet all kinds of people! Definitely "your man" would like a massage! You would be more of a specialist and should pay higher. =<)

More money and less physical work in "nails" (if your artistic) Learn massage as a "back-up"...

what do you think you will enjoy more?
nails you sit and help paint nails, exposing outer beauty of others and chatting, while a rmt (needs license) stands and sits helping people relax and chatt with them =)

why not do both? Don't limit yourself to only one profession.
