I would wait to tell anyone outside of immediate family until after 3months.

I have heard people say wait 12 weeks but I never did! I was busting to tell!! I think the reason is the higher chance of miscarriage early on, however I believe that even should a miscarriage be at 2 weeks it is just as sad and support is needed from those close to you. Tell people when you feel ready. By the way may i say a huge CONGRATULATIONS to You and Your Partner

I had to tell co-workers right away because I worked in ICU and they did x-rays at the patient bedside. Then when I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks, it was very dramatic and made things feel worse to me.
Out of superstition, I'd tell family now, but not the co-workers until you reach 12 weeks.
It is exciting, though, and you should do what you want to do. Congratulations!

At least YOU waited for 8 weeks! I was so excited I called everyone I knew as soon as my home pregnancy test came out positive!
Some people can wait but others, like me, feel ready to burst with happiness and just HAD to share my joy.
There is no right or wrong time. The decision is up to you and your husband.
Congratulations!

Lots of people wait untill after 12 weeks when the chance of miscarrige reduces dramatically.
I told my immediate family and very close friends as soon as i found out at 5 week because i figured if anything did happen i would need their support and want them to know either way.
other family members like uncles grandparents etc i dont really like with so i told my dad he could tell everyone else when i reached about 16 weeks.
Its up to you, but with hindsight lol i would tell everyone later if i could because there is only so many weeks you can take people talking only about pregnancy and labour to you ;)

It all depends on you. With me I wanted to wait because I wanted to be sure that I wouldn't have any problems early on. I told my mom and told her not to tell and so all my friends and family (except for the friends she didn't know) knew when I just found out. I was upset, but got over it fast. I understood she was excited for me and I thought she would not tell, but I was wrong. Anyway, I guess it just depends what you feel like.
19 weeks pregnant

We told everyone right away. I was 7 weeks when we found out and I was soooo sick. People wanted me to go to the doctor because they thought I had the flu. We just had to tell them that I am pregnant... plus my fiance's mom posted the bulletin on myspace the same day

I told people immediately when I found out, but alot of people like to wait until they are 3mo pregnant that way they are less likely to have a miscarriage but its your pregnancy and your life tell them when you want to! I can understand being excited about being pregnant! congrats and good luck!
