What was the problem with Virgie Arthur? Did she beat Anna, or harm her, while Anna was growing up?

Anna Nicole in one of her last interviews claimed she was beaten alot by her Mom, but her Mom stated that really drifting apart when Anna started dabbling heavily with drugs. The estrangement, I think, was helped along by slimeball Stern. Isolation of a victim is key. Mama claims she has it on tape that Anna called her to tell her of Daniel's death and while she was on the phone, slimeball came in, screamed at Anna, " What the hell are you doing, and took the phone from her and slammed it down."
Personally I think it was a combination of these things. She being beaten when she was young, taking solace in drugs, finding the controlling figure and not knowing any different stayed with the creep until he succeeded in killing her spirit and thusly her.

According to Anna... she was exposed to several types of abuse to include mental..physical.. emotional.. and sexual. The sexual came in with her mothers husband or boyfriend. You know given where she is from... I tend to believe there is some truth to what she says. She became very emotional when questioned and her tears seemed very true. Also when a small time girl comes into cash (no matter how) the family has a tendency to always want something. They may even feel that she owes them for raising her and feeding her.. clothing her.. etc. The problem with that is.. that's what families do! You don't get any Kudos and accolades for doing what you are supposed to anyway. Anna was a lost soul. She looked for love in all the wrong places and I felt her pain. I only regret these so called " men in her life" talking trash after she is gone. Why didn't they do it when she was alive and where were they when she needed them? There are 2 sides to every story and I firmly believe Anna had big issues with Big Vergie. Peace Be On Her...

I have seen the interview where Anna states her mother abused her.[how?] The most shocking thing at the funeral was Virgie dumping load after load of dirt on the grave with a shovel. They were supposed to put one shovel each to end the service. Virgie took over and shoveled til she was out of breath and sweating. Was it a slam--saying I'm throwing dirt on you Anna? Then she walked on the grave.

I thought she was hot! like in a non whore way. I just hate how people feed off her when shes dead. I mean it just looks so cruel, to keep reporting everything Anna Nicole to a point where shes dead. Sometimes I wonder does everything has to be televised. Oh well America is so advanced gotta have cameras. In some cultures its required to bury the person asap like in minutes. Do you think America will get more advanced if we started doing that here. And the way the reporters talk about celebritys, its just sickening , Inside edition, i mean these guys were stuck with that kid , john benererer whatever for hella days for ages. People must really enjoy these shows , even to the point of death. I really thought she was hot! like hot hot! not a dumb hot girl. Like she had a brain for her hottness. Next time a celebrity dies cant we just bury it, rightaway. Poor her, I dont think she really liked the whole celebrity status, she really didnt give a dayam like the suckkkers like us did. oh well

I don't think she hated her most of the time. Anna was a Borderline personality. You can clearly see that on her show. Constantly displaying both ecstatic and angry outbursts to manipulate others. The drugs weren't helping matters. There's a new video on You Tube called Anna the early years or something like that (Pre-Marshall). Her bio dad is on there, and in spite of the fact that he abandoned her as a baby and hadn't seen him in more than twenty years she is hanging on him and speaking sweetly of their relationship. The guy looked very uncomfortable with the affection.

She treated anna awful and abused her and neglected her..i saw that on one of the interviews Anna Nicole did...And trust me Anna will never ever forget that so I'm glad that the mother is getting dissed at the funeral..she was an awful person

I heard they didn't get along. Vergie was a single mom and worked as a cop and Nicole was always in trouble at a very young age. At a point Vergie let her go live with her sister because she couldn't keep track of her. Also, i believe Vergie was from the old school of spanking a child, she was really a hard child to raise. I also heard that there was a problem with Nicole and a step dad, isn't there always? Then I know we have problems, my youngest was wild and drove me nuts. But then Nicole says how bad her childhood was but she gets pregnant and allows her mom to raise him for years, So, really how bad could she have been and why would she leave her son with her then? Also, people on drugs don't want to be around people that don't allow drugs around or who know they are doing them. So, it's very complex, I think it's a shame that Virgie didn't get to spend time with Daniel, Nicole and now her grand daughter, I know she cared for them and if she doesn't care for the baby, which she shouldn't at least she should spend time with her, she is her grandma and should see her. It really is a mess. I think that Howard guy just allowed her to do what she wanted to and that isn't always love, it kills people sometimes to not say no to them. He fed her drugs for a fact and had her for a meal ticket for yrs. Truth be known that baby was born drug addicted. That's another reason they didn't want it born in the USA. That is my opinion.
