To show how far they have come, and will go. Oh yeah...while we are talking about it. Why does it take 88 years for the whiny sux to win a WS? The Tigers have won 4 of them in between your WS wins.

Nice Question to bring to everyones attention how well the Tigers did last year MR. Porgie. With that in mind I guess that this would make this the year of the ROYALS. They have sucked for as long as the Tigers. I really thought that both of these teams were double A (Royals) and Triple A (Tigers) teams for the Yankee farm system.

Knowing how you love your Tigers, its still surprising that you would bring up how much of a loser team they were for soooo long. At least the "Whiney Sux" were usually contenders during this time.
FYI: The Tigers were the team of destiny last year and they choked, they will not make it to the WS this year, too many good teams in the AL, get over it.

Yes, the Detroit Tigers did it despite losing 31 of their final 50 games and losing the division lead. Thank God for the wild card and the inept performance of A-Rod and the Yankee pitching staff.
