I have a brand new ipod and its been syncing for five hours. Is this normal? I have a decent amount of content on my computer, but i thought i specifically told the ipod to manually sync. Its been telling me not to disconnect since I connected it....

My ipod has frozen up a few times, too. If the display is not flashing, you will have to disconnect it. Make sure the lock switch on top is in the unlocked position. Press the center "select" and the top "menu" buttons at the same time. Hold them until you see the apple logo. This will reboot it and you can try to sync it again.
