The dumbest thing I've ever heard is when my friend was surprised that Cinco de Mayo is on May 5th this year, and he took Spanish when he was in high school..... he said he just didn't pay much attention....

I put party hats, streamers, a birthday card, and a birthday cake (which all have Elmo on them) on the check out stand and the cashier asks me, "Are you having a birthday party?"
I giggled inside and told him straight-faced, "No, I just really like Elmo".
