I had such dry skin that my skin was cracking and was horribly painful. My doctor recommended Eucerin and I bought Eucerin Aquaphor. This stuff is absolutely amazing. It literally cleared up my dry skin by the end of the day. I would recommend it to ANYONE. My skin was terrrrrrible and it was amazingly effective.

Same problem here. For face I use Neutrogena Oil -Free Moisture, four oz. about $10. For body, try Neutrogena bath and shower oil. Use it in the bath or put it on after showering. Pat yourself almost dry and then rub on the oil. To be efective, you must do it every day. About $5

I agree with the Eucerin. I has an Alpha Hydroxy in it so it exfoliates the dry dead skin and promotes nice new soft skin. It works very well.

Anything that works costs quite a bit. Sometimes, I rub vaseline on my hands (and elbows etc) before I go to bed. At that point, my hands are kinda yucky, but when I wake up they feel really fresh.

drink lots of water, that will hydrate your skin from the inside.
i use Neutregena's sensitive skin lotion (with spf 15) and its relatively inexpensive and it works well.
Vitamin E will also help your skin.

Lots of lotions are great, but I would say to add more fats to your diet, good fats, so you nourish your skin from the inside.
