Symmetry makes a face look beautiful, I think. Mostly a heart shaped face looks the most aesthetically pleasing, with medium to full lips that match the rest of the face, large eyes, and a small nose. But that's specific- I think most faces can look very pretty if they are synmetrical with features that go well together.

It's mostly about symmetry. They have done studies of what is considered attractive in different cultures, and some universal features are large eyes, full lips, small noses, defined eyebrows, and probably most important, a clear, smooth complexion. Those are just for women of course. Not to say other features are unattractive, but those features were found to be attractive worldwide.

In general, symmetry is one of the biggest foundations of beauty; the closer to a mirror image the halves of the face are, the more attractive it will seem.

Otherwise, as specific features go, it's often a matter of personal opinion. I find that individual aspects of the face seem to make less of an impact on me than how they fit together; Angelina Jolie's lips are considered one of her best features but they would look ridiculous on Robin Wright Penn.
