1166 Washtenaw County?

Question

Anyone have any information about this ships history? Its about 300 feet long, 40 beam, has two small booms near the house, the bow is two large doors, its in the Columbia river across from Longview, WA and was a military ship.

It sounds like a WW2 landing ship tank ( LST). You might check the inactive ships list thru military.com or Janes Fighting Ships Amphibious section. Since you have the name and hull number you have a good chance of finding all the info.
