I think that's how you spell it. anyway,

1) how many chromosomes do they have? if any...
2) do they require any oxygen (not neccessarily for breathing)?
3) can single celled organisms contract viruses?

2) Yes. (source two)
3) Yes. For example Bacteriophages are viruses that infect bacteria. No organism is safe from viral infection.

And yes Amoeba is a correct spelling of an organism (the one I researched for you.) I was shocked at the lack of info available on the Internet, but I did manage to find some credible sources for you.

Protozoa are single celled organisms; however, they do require oxygen and they can also contract viruses. Viruses are much smaller than protists...."Beef" up above is correct.
