Has anyone noticed the series of unfortunate events that is happening in Indonesia? Is it just Karma?

The sins of rulers may eventually affect a country in the long run even if the people are not a part of the evils of the rulers... But I do not know much about the Indonesian merits... Perhaps what an answer says about injustice to natives is a point..

All that happens around the world is said to be mere "reflection reaction and resound" in the words of a celebrated living spiritualist, mystic and social activist of South India, Sri Sathya Sai Baba.. Every nice or horrible scenes we witness day in day out are reflections of what we caused individually or collectively to happen in some dim past... and every good and evil deed we become subject to is a replay of our own actions... so too about every word thrown at us, being the resound of our own past shots at others...

Paramahamsa Yogananda (Founder of the Self Realization Fellowship) said that every way side flower was the expression of someone's willing smile and every biting mosquito a symbol of someone's biting word... The Great Britain boasted it was a nation where the sun never set (as it had its colonies all over the world) but all had to be given up someday and it even faced ethnic problems in its own country... See also, how the Japan nearly shattered in the world war, regained its strength by sheer will and hard work... The cycle of good and bad goes on in history but man does not take his lessons..

Theories of Karma (cause and effect) can not be ruled out, though one can not expect things to happen immediately after each good or bad things committed, thus deluding the perpetrater as thogh he was master of his destiny..!

Still I join all good hearts to pray for the good of the Indonesians..

Remember how in this country California seemed to have one disaster after another some years back...- & then lately its been Florida... & so on? Bad luck streaks seem to hit places- much the way they do people. On the World Stage, Indonesia seems to be the place taking a pounding lately... Maybe it IS Karma...- or else a normal statisical anomoly (like those rare occasions- when 4 rolls of the dice come up with the same number- in different combinations...) . It's an uncertain World, & stuff happens- accordingly.

Man I've wondered that same exact question to myself since last week and recently talked about it with my indonesian coworker. This same coworker lost half his house and all 3 of his cars to a fire a week before! fortunately he escaped with his 2 kids, but I just happened to see him as the top story of the local newscast that's how I found out. I told him it must be just bad luck for Indonesians and all he said was maybe, he had no explaination. There has just been so many things happening in a short amount of time, an explaination goes beyond coincidence. Even if I go to Yahoo homepage as of now, the top story is of a jetliner, in Indonesia, that crashed on an airport runway killing at least 20. This a day after an Indonesian quake killed several others. Wow.

the little guys been getting subverted from homes and lands
thery been asking thier ancestors to help them
look like the ancestors have heard

or just a lotta bad luck

karma is the bad returns that you get for the wrong you have done
it cannot be alleged that every citizen in that country sinned
neither can we say that all citizens in our country or any country for that matter are completely pious
