I am fifteen and most of my life, I have written with my right hand. Though in the last year, I realized I do a lot with my left hand, and so I tried writing with it and after a bit of practice, the only real difference I can spot between my two hands is that my left is slanted opposite and a little less stylized. My mother is a lefty, but my dad is a righty. Though I have noticed that I have no problem taking notes in school with either hand and when one gets tired I have no problem switching. Does anyone have any thoughts? Am I a righty wanting to be lefty or ambidextrous?

You are more on the latter side. If you are having major problems, like most of us would, trying to switch hands I would say you are trying to impress and maybe trying to make the switch, but most of us mere righty or lefty people can't do it as well. So, you need to decide depending on the amount of effort it takes you to do what you do. I sweep left handed, but that doesn't come close to being left handed. lol

There isn't a set gene that determines lefty or righty, it is just what your body is used to. Many people learn to do some tasks with their left and others with their right. Some people can adjust to use their non-dominante hand faster than others. These are usually the people who consider themselves ambidextrus.

At a guess I'd say that you really are ambidextrous. Even ambidextrous people have a tendency to one or the other hand.

You're ambidextrous. (You'll be much less likely to get Alzheimer's.)
