What would your kid have to do to be grounded for 4 months? My friend was grounded for 4 months, for her that included no: cellphone homephone computer no one can go to her house she cant go anywhere no extracrricular activities
And she is grounded 4 her birthday!!!!
But she wont tell me what she did.
So what would your kid have to do?

Don`t say stuff like sleep with someone or steal, because I know she is not that kind of person. We`ve been friends seince we were toddlers.

Caught with a boy? Caught with drugs? She must be embarassed or ashamed so it might be something like that and she thinks you will judge her and loose you as a friend, and/or you will tell other people.

Stealing, assault, murder, blackmail, getting caught with pants down, getting caught on knees, selling drugs, doing drugs, stabbing sibbling, becoming a morman.
You know it would have to be something major to shut them completely off from the world at large. It sounds more like an intervention than a punishment.

I know a kid that got grounded for 3 months just recently. He threw a big party while his parents were out of town and there was a fight. Lots of stuff got broken.

it would have to be pretty bad. stealing, getting arrested, getting pregnant ( in that case id just lock in her the basement and never see the light of day again )guess shes not your friend if she wont tell you.
I agree with basic as well'
and 4 months aint ****, i was grounded the first 6 months of my senior year for getting caught smoking a cigarette

either sleep around with guys, get an std, disobey me complety with something important, get in troble with the law, or shoplift
it sucks being grounded for a week but a whole 4 months.....wow

Getting pregnant (I'm assuming that your friend is not an adult).
First time, I'd pay for the "procedure" and ground her for 4 months
Second time, she'll have to get her tubes tied.

she would have to disobey my wishes and no do what was told of her over and over. i won't tolerate anyone disrespecting my choices.
