Please explain exactly why this sentence is improper:
Fred gave Blake and I tickets to the show.

First of all it's "to", not "too".
The sentence should read ...
Fred gave Blake and me tickets to the show.
I is used as the subject, me as the object.
Test the sentence by asking yourself which of these would be correct:
Fred gave I tickets.
Fred gave me tickets.

Uh oh... Fred gave I tickets doesn't sound right... because it's not.

Me and I are both possessive pronouns. However, "I" can only be used when you are talking about yourself alone. In cases where you and other persons are involved and you are relating the incident (like the sentence above) you must use "me".

Because if you cut off Fred gave Blake, you get Fred gave ME, not Fred gave I.

It should be Blake and me, but I'm not sure why. Sorry, been out of school too long to remember the rule.

The sentence should be:
Fred gave Blake and me tickets to the show.
It should be "me" rathen than "I" because "me" is the object of the verb "gave". Hope this helped!!

The trick is this:
how would you answer if I asked you, to whom did Fred give the tickets to?
That is how you write it.

it would be Blake and me; it should be "to" in your opening statement instead of "too" also lol (just trying to help) ;)

You should have said "To all the wonderful..." not "Too".
I dunno what's improper about Fred's tickets. I guess it depends what kind of show.
