No I have not, but try not to get too worried yet it could cause the baby stress. I hope it all works out fine for you -good luck.

Hello there,
I am currently 34 weeks and the doctors picked up on my scan that one of the babies kidneys was enlarged. They said to me not to stress this can be quite common as the kidney had a kink in it and because there is not much room for the babie to move around. They said there was no blockages and the baby was passing urine and there was plenty of amniotic fluid. All it will mean for me is the baby will have an ultrasound after it is born to check that it has rectified itself and then another one when bub is 3 months old.I hope this has maybe given you a better understanding.

My son was supposed to have fetal hydronephrosis but the problem corrected itself as the pregnancy progressed.

Fetal hydronephrosis is the swelling of the kidney when too much urine collects in the pelvis (or basin) of the kidney. This occurs because there is a blockage of the normally free flow of urine, most commonly in the ureter (the tube that connects the kidney to the bladder), and the urine is not allowed to drain into the bladder. This blockage causes a pressure buildup which causes the kidney to enlarge. The severity of fetal hydronephrosis depends on how large the kidney has ballooned and the extent of the blockage. If not corrected, it can cause the kidney to lose its ability to make urine.
