Go to any art/hobby store and ask them for Speedball pens. They have separate "nibs", which are metal tips to the plastic pens that you can switch out for thicker or thinner lines. They're the kind you dip into waterproof black ink.
Some artists use actual paint brushes. Very fine sable brushes for their work. It depends on what your style is.
