This happened to me today. I took my first pregnancy test 2 days after a missed period, which came out positive. Then I took another one 2 hours later and it came out negative. Now I'm confused. Anyone know what it means?

This happened to me but, I took the tests a few days apart. It could be that when u took the 2nd test, the urine was not "strong" enough for the test to detect the preg hormone hCG (it's best to test with first morning urine).

Sometimes if your HCG level is too low (early in pregnancy) you can be pregnant and test negative. Also, an ovarian cyst can cause a false positive, or if you've recently had a miscarriage it can cause one as well. You don't always know if you miscarry if it happens at like 4-6 weeks. Most people think it is just an extra heavy period.

The positive one was right. You will never get a positive test unless you are but you may get a negative test when you are pregnant. Test again first thing in the morning to be sure but I am positive that you are.

Fasle positives are rare! False negatives are common. I would trust the positive & take another test. Regardless you need to get in to see your OB or doctor for a urine test & hcg leval

most likely you drank a lot of water so that you could pee again in 2 hours. your hcg levels are still low. take another test with first morning urine. i would say your pregnant. congrats
