If by retrogression you mean, the act or process of deteriorating or declining, just check yesterday's headline: RP most corrupt economy in Asia

as long as people can find a better life else where it will never end, unless things change drastically in this country it will continue. You must remember it's a fact of life and sometimes I think its a cultural thing also

yes, it has indeed ended. the worst crisis we had was the aftermath of the asian financial crisis in1997. we went to a downward spiral economically resulting to the migration of a lot of philippine professionals overseas. the remittance of much needed dollars is keeping the economy of the philippines alive.
