Well I am a little passed my 10th I have attended my 35th my 40th will be next year. I love going! I was the kid that most everyone thought was different and a looser. While we were in high school I was on the honor roll the whole time but I lived in detention [ before school at lunch and after school ] in fact when I graduated I still owed them . My life has turned out GREAT! It makes them wonder how I did it. It is good fun to go back !

I went to my 10 year high school reunion (10 years ago now). It was a blast. We had a lot of fun. I did not find it to be a re-play of highschool because we were grown up and most of us had moved on. We had a much better idea of what real life was like now and could move past some of the stereotypical highschool relationships and labels. I'd say 80% of our graduating class showed up. It was great! I can't wait for the 25th reunion in 5 years.

I wasn't crazy about high school. All my friends were in the class after mine, so I really didn't know many people in my own graduating class. I remember high school as being a place where many cliques were judging and ostracising others who were in the "wrong" clique. I remember there were a lot of stuck-up, snotty people, a lot of jocks who thought they were all that simply because they were jocks, and a lot of gang members who nobody could look in the eye even accidentally because they took it as a challenge to fight. Nope, I wasn't the slightest bit interested in attending my class reunion. I have not been to my 10th, 20th or 25th reunions (I'm 45) and I have no regrets. My dearest friends were made after high school, so I have seen no reason to attend a reunion where many of those attending would be trying to show off or impress others with their post-high school accomplishments. Big whoop. Now if I had many friends in my graduating class, then that would be a different story and I would have loved to have gone to my reunions, only to catch up with old friends.
As to your own reunion, if you haven't heard from anyone about a reunion, it is possible that the reunion committee doesn't know how to get a hold of you to inform you of an upcoming reunion. I have seen reunion information posted in newspapers before. You might want to contact your high school and update your address or ask them to put you in touch with the reunion chairperson for your graduating class.

Well, it's only been 3 years since I graduated from high school. I'm glad to say that I don't miss a thing. I was a loner even though I had no reason to be one. I try not to look back because it hurts when I do. I'm better now. I'm still learning. When I do get that invitation to my high school reunion, I will most likely turn it down. There's no one I would want to revisit.
[Thanks to whoever gave me the thumbs down. I'm just letting you know what my opinion is. I'm sure plenty of people have had or will have a wonderful experience at their high school reunion. I just don't have high expectations. Because of this little commentary, I expect more thumbs down. So keep them coming.]
I expect my high school reunion to be Judgment Day. People want to see old friends, but they really want to know what they've been up to since graduation.

High school? Haha Who would ever want to go back there! I'm only partly serious, it hasn't come up for me yet (graduated in 2001), I guess it depends on the setting. I mean it would be great to see certain people again, but in a relaxed atmosphere (like the one you knew them in when you were skipping class together lol), not in some crappy dance or something. So yeah, can't say for sure, but I would say it depends on exactly what would be going on at such an event and what sort of atmosphere..
