Will I be able to run DirectX10 (on Vista of course) with a GeForce 7900 GTX video card?? It seems that only the new GeForce 8 series "supports" DirectX10, is that true? Will I still have to run DirectX9 until I upgrade my card?

Only GeForce 8 series and Radeon X2000 series are DX10 capable. Of course, there aren't any DX10 games out yet. If I were you, I'd wait a few months for ATI's cards and the rest of NVidia's cards to launch. By then prices will be down, DX10 games will be out, and reviews will tell us which company's card performs best in DX10.

1. The NVidia Geforce 7900GTX only supports up to DirectX9, which is the current directx but soon most applications will use directx10.
2. Only the Geforce 8xxx series supports directx10 right now.
3. Yes, but don't plan on upgrading any time soon---wait until prices go down for the 8800 or wait for the lower-class directx10 cards e.g. maybe the 8300gs or something like that in the near future
