"the king is gone, but he's not forgotten"
the song is about how right as elvis died, johnny rotten who neil thought of as the king of punk rock, quit playing music and went back to using his real name john lydon.
"it's better to burn out, rust never sleeps"
elvis just burnt out. sad.
but elvis, johnny, jerry and carl made the greatest record label of all time the greatest of all time. sam phillips was a genius.
