What are good things and bad thing to say about pirates i need to make a speech about them?

I need to have a speech ready for my Social Studies class
I am 11 years old and i need some idea about some pirates
Yes, i watched Pirates of the Caribbean and I have some ideas but I need a page of material and I am blank on ideas

You might say that because they attacked Spanish ships and sent the gold to other parts of the world, the pirates of the Caribbean tempered (balanced it out) the flow of gold into Europe and kept the inflation rate from skyrocketing even faster than it did already. Often they shared the things they took with their poorer friends. You could say the stories of pirates kept children of the 18th and 19th Centuries entertained for decades, even after the pirates were gone. You could say they also inspired some of the best authors we have ever had, such as Robert Louis Stevenson, who wrote "Treasure Island" - probably the best-known pirate book, as well as Mark Twain when he wrote "Tom Sawyer." You could say they helped inspire a variety of Halloween costumes and movies in the movie-making industry. Here's a link below that is more positive than negative if you need a specific pirate name to refer to, in the Caribbean/Puerto Rico area.
Bad things - well, obviously they committed crimes in addition to stealing cargo, which made other law-abiding citizens' lives more difficult. They were a drain on national defenses and disrupted the lives of families who had relatives on the ships the pirates kept attacking. It would have been an awful experience to have had someone in your family be killed or assaulted by a pirate. I think the women passengers had more fear of pirates than the men. Sometimes the pirates would burn down villages if they didn't get what they wanted. Sometimes they made slaves out of people they captured, especially if they were young and not as able to defend themselves.
